Motors

Muchmore Clubman (Handout)

Maximum gearing = 35/20 (3Racing Fast Gear Set - M05-02)

1. Motors will be supplied by the organisers for the events as part of the competitor’s registration fee. They will have the competitors series number engraved into the can and are not transferable between competitors. They will be handed out on the morning of race day, and must be returned once racing had finished.

2. New motors will be available at any time during the season, and the competitor’s number will be removed from the old motor to prevent it from being used again. If a competitor fails to return their motor at the end of a meeting, the motor will not be admissible for further rounds and a new motor will need to be purchased.

3. The motors must remain un-tampered, however cleaning of the motor is allowed. This includes the use of cleaning fluids, cotton buds and fibre/comm sticks. Running in/comm drops and lubricants are also permitted. Anything other than this is not allowed and may result in disqualification from the event. Water dipping of motors is also not permitted. Maximum of 1 motor cooling fan may be used (maximum size 30mmx30mm)

4. Extra capacitors, power caps and schottky diodes may not be fitted.

5. The use of any form of commutator lathe is strictly forbidden, as these are sealed motors and must not be opened. Suspect motors will have the competitor number removed and the offending driver may not be allowed to take any further part in the meeting, scoring no points.

6. Motors will also be available for practice at the same rate as the race motors, but will not be marked with your number and so are not submitable for racing.
